Kefka Grixis Pivot

  • Commander(s): Kefka, Court Mage
  • Moxfield Link:https://moxfield.com/decks/eJCm8U4pFE2A6WEalHTL2g
  • Color Identity: Grixis
  • Game Plan: The plan depends on the pod and mainly the hand. You can have the turbo route or you can leverage Kefka, interaction, and rhystic to play a midrange game. I’m not sold completely on the list so I could use some help. I’m also torn between him or Green Goblin.

Few thoughts!

  • I’m a bit confused by vault of whispers. Is that just a Mopal include? I’d probably rather be on another rainbow land first. 29 lands feels high, personally. 27 or 28 has been my sweet spot on Kefka.
  • I think you’re probably supposed to be on both blasts but if you were only going to run 1, there’s edge cases where pyroblast is far better IMO.
  • This is more all in on the Kefka plan than I generally encourage people to be with clones.
  • I’m not a huge TOR fan right now, I think it’s too slow unless you’re specifically trying to abuse it. I’d rather be on faerie mastermind 9 times out of 10
  • Kefka and Goblin operate on somewhat similar axis, but I generally am of the mind that Goblin is the better deck. It’s a turn or a little more faster than Kefka, not as fast as RogSi, but has a similar ability to grind value in the midgame.
  • The Last Laugh list is the most “solved” version of Kefka and would direct you here if you want to play the clown

I was trying vault out because I’ve been seeing it in some grixis lists recently and I’ve had to beseech it twice already.

I could definitely see playing both blasts my option is that swat is less of a problem with red blast.

Mastermind is on my list of cards to try but I haven’t been able to yet.

Lastly Im heavy on the clones I do agree and it’s mostly because I play against a lot of creature based decks so I’m using them for those. I haven’t cloned the clown because I don’t think it’s really that strong.

I seriously appreciate the help
