I am being savagely roasted for cutting Ranger Captain and adding Rog to Blue Farm. As a newer player I believe that I need to focus more on clean play versus small percentage card choices. I punted a win into a draw on Tuesday (10/21) evening by whiffing a breach line. I would love to see content in general focus more playing cleanly (lessons learn, potential heuristics) versus deck techs. How many high level player tournament recaps have we listened to where they mention punting, but don’t dig into what happened? Do you think this content would attract as much interest as shiny cards? What do you do as a group and individually when you punt or misplay? I keep game notes, but I don’t include my opponent’s decks, starting hand, or most of the great things you can find in Play Nice, which is an awesome tool. I simply note what I believe was the pivotal moment of the game, the choice I made, why I made it at that moment, and the outcome, and I find reviewing those notes helps me more than tweaking on Moxfield.

When preparing for a tournament how do you decide on the last few slots in your deck list? Do you keep your deck exactly how it was in play testing even if a card has felt dead or are you constantly shifting your list?
How do you go about exploring and brewing “fringe” or new commanders? More specifically, how do you decide what a deck is missing? I struggle to properly analyze what my decks are missing when brewing and would love some great advice. Cheers, and thank you!

My questions: do you all think there is anything that can be done to fix the seat order issue (fourth seat disproportionately disadvantaged)? My proposal would be to give fourth seat an additional free mulligan (a “third” 7). This gives them a greater ability to sculpt a hand to the table and situation without direct card advantage.
