I play a lot of RogSi, I’ve NEVER thought about ‘Retract’

Wanted to hear how that card has been for you?

Also, is sticher’s supplier just used for another sac outlet and help fills for breach lines?

Stitcher’s Supplier + Culling the Weak is a mana positive breach line.

I’m adding Spider Punk to my RogSi list soon and am curious about how it’s running for you / what applications you’re using it for?

Stitchers seems like an easy add to me for breach lines. I like going for that line with vexing bauble out too since it’s hard to interact with. I’m currently just testing spiderpunk as a way to protect turn two pushes since it should be easy to run out turn one. Worst case is I have to find a way to sac it.

Retract just acts as an extra ritual similar to how chain of vapor does. It is also one of my favorite foils.

The problem (sometimes) in non-white is that just randomly playing stitchers can mill your breach, and then you’re kinda hosed. Otherwise, I think it’s pretty alright.

That’s true, the chances of it are low though and there are strong ways to recover from that state. Typically it doesn’t come down until after the breach though. Or it’s in the pile you pick up from necro or Naus.

Yeah, I just see very little reason to play it beforehand. Someone can kill it and mess with your topdeck tutors, for example. And in these colors, there’s no value represented by milling 3/6 inherently.

So the sticher’s line has got be thinking lately, what’s the best/most efficient way to convert all that mana into a win con? cuz i’m thinking like if you have a breech/stichers/culling plus a simple red mana source to cast the breech = what’s the quickest way to win with the list that you have??? let’s say you fetch for your first land so you have one extra card in your graveyard.

You’ll always have 3 extra cards to work with from the ETB. Then you can end up finding Naus or grasp or a tutor for any other piece

right on, i’m kind of treating this card combo like a doomsday pile in terms of strategy. I’m trying to figure out ‘the line’ of how early you could cast/win with this play. like hypothetically, turn 1 fetch land, stitcher, turn 2 red source land drop, cull the week: float 4 black mana, use one of it and the red land source for breach. at this point i’ll have a 1-2 fetch lands in the grave + stitcher’s triggers = 6 + culling the week/stitcher itself (2). Just trying to figure out the line(s) from how to win from here with only having a small amount of cards left over in the graveyard…

For those wondering, here’s details on the combo line:

I understand Spider-Punk · Marvel's Spider-Man (SPM) #92 · Scryfall Magic The Gathering Search is new and exciting, but ultimately, I am concerned it’s a big trap. You don’t want your opponents’ stuff to be uncountrable. If you want a way to be more protected, look at Vexing Bauble · Modern Horizons 3 (MH3) #212 · Scryfall Magic The Gathering Search which will also improve your matchup against an earlier seated Etali.

I am on vexing bauble already. I can see the card being a trap if managed poorly, I think it might be playable for a turn two push. It’s definitely a card that has to be played with a plan. It’s in currently for testing, since I haven’t seen anyone actually try it.

I’m with you there. you just have to play it correctly. People are going to inevitably run it out at the wrong time to try and protect a win but if you read the board wrong and someone drops a flash enabler on you you’re toast. But if everyone else it tapped out you’re mostly just protecting from free interaction which is what most folks would be hitting you with in that situation anyways. THAT being said i’m still not going to run it because i’m the idiot that would read the board wrong lol

You’re exactly right. Worst case is I get burned eventually on it and cut it :joy:. It’s my test slot
